A good teacher makes learning fun and easy. At Bytesized, teachers aim to give students the best experience possible by going through material in a logical order and providing extra support to students who need it. The educators are passionate about coding and working with children. They would love to share their knowledge and experience with others.
Each lesson taught at Bytesized is carefully planned by the teachers themselves and adjusted based on previous lessons. Students are guided by clear powerpoints, demo videos, code-alongs, and direct instruction from teachers. Plenty of time is built in for questions so that all students successfully grasp the curriculum and feel confident in their new coding abilities.
Our mission is to ensure that students have an engaging, enriching, educational experience where they are exposed to the basics of coding and are given the freedom to use their creativity to apply coding principles for their own unique purposes. We hope to inspire students to experiment with code and pursue future careers related to computer science and STEM.
Classes are open to any middle or high school student from anywhere in the world.
No prior experience is needed! If students sign up for the beginner bundle all concepts will be taught with foundational information.
All you need is a computer with access to the internet and an open mind ready to learn.
All teachers will have completed APCS with an A and have scored either a 4 or 5 on the AP test. Additionally, each teacher will have multiple years of experience in the computer science field with multiple languages beyond the ones taught.
Each class will be an hour long and include an explanation, code-along, and practice time. Students will be able to ask questions throughout the lesson and if they need help with their work outside of class we are always happy to help.
